Makeup Starter Kit

 

A beginner without any basic make up would probably be mind-boggled by the insane number of cosmetic choices. 

So for anyone who needs help on starting their makeup collection, i made a list of the "basic" make up must haves.

So i looked through my stuffs and tried to narrow down everything to what i think a beginner should spend on. And i am not speaking of any brands in particular, these are just options :) 

 if i had to pick only 5 items, it would definitely be this:

1. Powder

2. Concealer

3. Blush

4. Mascara

5. Lipstick

the last item is completely optional--- An Eyeshadow Palette

A good powder. ---  I suggest you go for something light-medium coverage. Something that's going to make you oil-free without looking cakey. :)

2. Concealer- I don't get much sleep everyday so i have  pretty bad under-eye circles, so this is probably my most loved makeup product.


 I think choosing the right color of concealer can be crucial sometimes. Picking something that's too light for your skintone is not cute. You seriously don't wanna end up looking like a panda bear. hahaha So i suggest you ask the MUA what color matches youuuu :) 

3. Mascara- This is definitely a must have. Applying mascara instantly makes a big difference. Your eyes would look brighter and more awake. 

4. Blush - If concealers are my most loved...Blushes are my favorites. I just like how it adds color to the face. It's kind of  "painting a white wall" concept in my mind. hahaha Every blush would look different on every person, so checking the colors personally on makeup counters, and trying them out yourself would be a huge help in choosing what blush to get. 

5. Lipstick - In my opinion, Nothing says more about your personality, makeup-wise, than your lipstick. Finding that perfect lipstick is not easy. So do spend some time on it... because it's more than picking out a flattering shade. There are many, many shades that will flatter you. So it takes a bit of a trial and error to figure out what you really want to wear.
